Adra and Jason are Engaged!

I had a fantastic time with Adra and Jason in Central Park, photographing them all over the middle portion of the park.  We visited Bethesda Fountain and Terrace, the Ladies’ Pavillion, Bow Bridge, the Shakespeare Garden, Belvedere Castle, and more.  They’re getting married in California, so unfortunately I won’t get to join them for that.  So, I wish them best wishes and best of luck for a long life together!

Alison and Edward’s Reception

Alison and Edward got married in Cape Cod three weeks prior to having their reception here in New York, so we just basically got to party all night!  Their friends and family were a lot of fun, and I am so grateful they chose me to capture their celebration in photographs!  Their reception was held at Battery Gardens in lower Manhattan.  With a beautiful view of the water and the Statue of Liberty in the background, this excellent establishment has wonderful food and even better service.  Alison and Edward couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate their marriage with the dear people in their lives!

Kathryn and Michael got Married!

What an incredibly fun wedding this was!  Kathryn and Michael had a beautiful ceremony on the balcony of the Bryant Park Grill followed by some quick pictures in the park, and then the party was on!   I really enjoy it when the bride and groom are laughing during the ceremony, because it helps to show the joy they’re feeling in their hearts.  Kathryn and Michael certainly were joyous, and everyone had a good time watching them get married.  The reception, complete with a very talented mariachi band called Mariachi Nuevo Mexico, was the perfect combination of an elegant surrounding and a fantastic party.

I wish Kathryn and Michael the best in their new life together as husband and wife.  Thanks for letting me be a part of your wonderful day!

Christine and Kyle got Married!

Earlier this month I had the privilege to photograph the wedding ceremony and celebration for Christine and Kyle, at the beautiful Laurita Winery in New Egypt, NJ.  The ceremony was a beautiful outdoor ceremony, and though it was a just a tad warmer than I like outside, I thought everything went wonderfully.  Two ministers presided over the ceremony, and the wedding party entrances were accompanied by a Trumpet and French Horn duet.  Being a former French Horn player myself, I of course thought it was a nice touch.

The winery did a fantastic job hosting the event, and I am adding them to places I recommend for couples looking for a unique and beautiful wedding experience.  The cake was one of the most amazing cakes I’ve seen in a while!  Everyone had a great time and the live band was top notch.  Our happy newlyweds are off in Europe enjoying their honeymoon, but when they get back I hope they’ll enjoy the photos as much as I have!

Michael and Joyce got Married

Michael and Joyce had quite an unusual wedding day.  Through the years I have served many functions above and beyond photographer.  I’ve been asked to sing, to emcee, to witness, and more.  For Michael and Joyce I added a new hat to the collection: People Mover!

Michael and Joyce brought their entire wedding (not just the wedding party, ALL of the guests!) from out of state, and all forty or so of them got together on Central Park South for horse and carriage rides in the park.  For those of you who don’t know, the carriages have a four person limit, so that was a lot of carriages!  Of course I followed along with Michael and Joyce’s carriage, and got some lovely shots.  Afterward, we had to travel to Battery Park.  No one seemed to be taking the lead, and since I live here in Manhattan, it seemed we weren’t going anywhere unless I got everyone on the train.  That was no small feat, by the way, getting forty people from out of state who had never even heard of a Metrocard, all onto the 1 train bound for the South Ferry exit – but we did it!

Michael and Joyce’s ceremony was lovely, and the Battery Gardens is absolutely beautiful.  I highly recommend the food there, too.  As someone raised in Texas, I chose the steak, and was happy to find it was so tender that no one actually needed a steak knife!  Fantastic!

We watched as the sun set with the Statue of Liberty in the background, and someone out there decided that night would be a good time for a small fireworks display.  Joyce was obviously moved, and it was just the most wonderful end to a wonderful evening.  I wish them all the best, and I know they have many years together ahead of them full of life, love, and joy.  Best Wishes to your whole family!!!
