Performing Arts photography is a unique and very specific type of photography. It takes not just an understanding of photographic technique, but an understanding of the subject matter and how those photographs will need to be used by the Marketing and Development departments of each organization. Having high quality images of your production is critical for both your marketing efforts and your historical records.
Prior to becoming a photographer, I spent more than two decades as a opera singer and stage director, and even served for a short time as the director of a small regional opera company. These experiences provide me with an incomparable level of understanding of what I am photographing, both in terms of what is happening on stage, and how your company needs to use those materials to reach out to its future patrons.
I am based in south Jersey, which allows me to service all of New Jersey, New York metro, northern Delaware, and the Philadelphia area. I do travel to other areas, with travel reimbursement.
Production Photography Pricing
You can choose to either pay for the service up front and provide free-of-charge digital downloads to your artists, or I will photograph your production at no charge to you and print images may be purchased individually as desired. If you wish to pay for the service, one dress rehearsal (or performance) is $500, and a second dress rehearsal or performance for the same production is $250.
Full lab printing services are available, including large scale lobby prints and banners, hard-mounted elegant prints up to 30×45 for your lobby displays, eye-grabbing metal murals, and much more. Please ask for details on the many additional items and services we offer.
If you would like us to cover your fundraising or marketing event, the general hourly fee for event photography services is $150 per hour.
